For more than a decade, Leigh Hebbard has been a presence at Eastern High. He got his start as an athletic director, but now wears many hats as an assistant principal. At any given time, be it a holiday, night or weekend, Leigh can be found at the school. While he served as the lead administrator when Eastern High utilized the GTCC-Greensboro campus following a fire that destroyed the school, Leigh set up an office in one of the central offices so he could continue to work when the campus was closed. In the nomination submitted on his behalf, a parent said, “Leigh performs his job duties as well as those outside of his title with excellence.” Because of his overwhelming passion and dedication to the students and their success at Eastern High, Leigh was selected as the October Employee of the Month. 

As Guilford County Schools’ Employee of the Month, Leigh received a $50 gift card from Sam’s Club, who has partnered with GCS to execute the employee recognition program. His photo will hang at the district’s central offices and at Sam’s Club on Wendover Avenue. Watch for the Employee of the Month on GCSTV2!
