The board approved to increase the number of magnet seats at Morehead Elementary to assist with elevating the need for a combination class.

Board Discussion

Search Process for New Superintendent
The board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Terry Grier effective March 23. The board approved hiring Sharon Ozment, chief finance officer and Dr. Becoats, chief of staff, as co-interim superintendents. Ozment and Becoats will start March 15. Chairman Duncan led the board in a discussion regarding the search process for a new superintendent.

Guilford County Board of Education meetings are broadcast live on GCSTV 2 (cable channel 2) and re-air the day after the meeting at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the Saturday following the meeting at 1 p.m.
