Recycling

Welcome to the Guilford County Schools Maintenance Department Recycling section. As adults, it is our responsibility to maintain a healthy environment for future generations. If this is to be accomplished, we must continue to educate and inform our students about the environmental issues they will face in the future. Recyclable Materials and other links have been furnished to help with promoting recycling within Guilford County Schools.

Benefits

Recycling and reusing of products prevents potentially useful materials from being buried or burned and extends the life span of landfills, thereby preserving valuable space.

Using recycled materials in place of virgin materials also saves energy and natural resources.

Recycling reduces problems associated with trash and litter.

Recycling can reduce pollution.

Why Recycle

  • To conserve resources and energy.
  • To teach students important, lifelong habits and lessons
  • To control rising waste disposal costs
