Grant Writing Resources

Tips on Writing Grant Proposals and Funding Opportunities

The Grants Office goal is to help the most children in our school system as possible by empowering those who teach them with the knowledge and resources necessary to write successful grant proposals. In an effort to achieve that goal, the Grant Writing Guide and Directory of Foundations were created as a way to share grant information with teachers and other GCS staff members. The Grant Writing Guide provides tips to those who need them on how to prepare a proposal. The Directory of Foundations lists a variety of funding sources available to our schools in the form of corporate and private foundations, and federal and state grants. An excellent evaluation tool, GrantSAT has been developed by the U.S. Department of Energy for use by grantwriters.
