Student Teacher Fun Fair - November 20, 2007

Over the next five years, more than 60 percent of the state’s teachers are expected to retire. GCS is growing by approximately 1,500 students per year. As a result, the district hired almost 900 licensed employees last year and expects to do the same this year.

The fair gave student teachers the exclusive opportunity to meet GCS principals and network with key hiring administrators. In addition, attendees will receive advance notice of 2008 employment opportunities while learning more about the hiring process, salary and benefits.
