Guilford County Schools offers an exciting after-school opportunity for elementary students - the After-school Care Enrichment Services program. The ACES program provides quality after-school academic, enrichment and recreational activities for kindergarten through fifth grade students and is conveniently located on campus. The weekly fee for ACES is $40.

The ACES program expands children’s experiences, extends their learning, and provides warm and caring support. ACES is offered every day that school is in session for students. The program begins as soon as the school day ends and operates until 6:00 p.m. ACES also operates on teacher workdays designated as ACES All-Days. On the All-Days, ACES operates from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. On the district's four Early Dismissal Days, ACES begins at the early dismissal time and operates until 6:00 p.m.

Most ACES programs are licensed by the North Carolina Division of Child Development (NC-DCD) and can accept subsidy payments from agencies such as the Department of Social Services (DSS) or adoption services. Information regarding an ACES program's licensure status and ability to accept payment subsidies can be obtained from the school's ACES site coordinator. All elementary schools except Fairview, Oak Hill and Wiley have an ACES program. There is a community-based, after-school program near each of these schools.
